Lauren Crisafulli-Delio is a contract administrator at Sodexo, Inc. where she serves as the primary point of contact within the law department for her clients in sales and operations, providing cradle to grave contract support. She received her B.S from Stevenson University in Baltimore before becoming a sales representative at Xerox in 2002. She then accepted a position in the law department of Avendra, LLC drafting and negotiating supply chain management agreements. Lauren is thrilled to be able to take her business experience and put it to good social use for Aha! Moment. In addition to contracts, Lauren coaches girl’s youth lacrosse in Bethesda, Maryland and plays the drums provided no one is within earshot. Adia B. Moore is a Staff Attorney with The Law Offices of Darlene Wakefield where she is a child advocate in child abuse and neglect cases in Baltimore. She received her Bachelor’s in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland- College Park. She then attended Louisiana State University, where she received her JD/BCL in 2007. She became the judicial law clerk for the District Court of Baltimore City. From 2008 to 2009, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Emmanuel Brown of the Circuit court for Baltimore City. From 2009 to 2010, Moore served as staff attorney at Mecca’s Place, Inc. in Baltimore City. She is member of the Citizen's Advisory Council with the Howard County Police Department. She is also an active member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association.
Samantha Goodwin is the Staff Social Worker at The DC Center for the LGBT Community. Through The DC Center, Sam provides individual and group mental health services to LGBTQ survivors of violence and crime, focusing her work on empowerment, resilience, and stability for all of her clients. She has a background in the field of sexual health, having taught sexuality education at Children's National Hospital and having worked on several contraceptive access campaigns locally and nationally during her time at Advocates for Youth, a national non-profit focused on sexual health and education issues for young people. Sam has a deep passion for working with violence survivors, and is thrilled to be a part of such this wonderful, important event.
Melissa Kyriakos Nelson is excited to be bringing her public health nonprofit experience to the Board of Directors of Aha! Moment. Ms. Nelson worked as a Program Analyst for CAI Global in New York City providing capacity building support with a special focus on quality improvement initiatives, data management, analysis and evaluation used to monitor and improve program performance, including: the OPA HIV Prevention Project; the CDC-funded Infertility Prevention Project; Title X Regional Training Center technical assistance activities and a Human Resources and Services Administration-funded project providing data and reporting technical assistance to Ryan White grantees. Ms Nelson also served as an Epidemiologist Consultant for the New York City Department of Health Bureau of STD Control on the Chlamydia Evaluation Initiative project, where she presented findings internationally. Ms. Nelson has experience in private sector, working in planning, operations, and clinical optimization for a large healthcare operations consulting firm. She earned her MSc in Modern Epidemiology from the University of London, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in January 2007, and he BS in International Health from Georgetown University in May 2005. Melissa currently resides in Potomac, MD with her husband and two young daughters.
