Tali Sadan Elitzur is a licensed therapist domestic violence and sexual assault therapist, and is the Executive Director of Aha! Moment. During her graduate studies in Community Counseling Tali immersed herself in learning about helping survivors of trauma to heal internal wounds, and used her own experiences as a survivor to formulate methods of helping others.  She has worked with a diverse population of survivors in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, both individually and in group settings.

Tali recently founded Aha! Moment in response to the disconnect between survivors of interpersonal trauma and the organizations that are there to support them. She believes that the use of collaborative outreach efforts and custom-tailored workshops can help bring support to the community before they even reach out, and ultimately increase the number of survivors that take advantage of professional help. Accessibility is key!

In addition to working on developing Aha! Moment, Tali serves as the Chair and Spokesperson for the Outreach & Public Relations Committee of DC’s Victim Assistance Network. She also serves on the Board of Director for the Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center (AODVC) and Sexual Assault Support & Help for Americans Abroad Program (SASHAA). She is committed to helping survivors, advocates, and mental health professionals work collectively to end the cycle of abuse, interpersonal violence, and polyvictimization. Tali grew up on a kibbutz in Israel, and currently lives in Maryland with her beloved husband, Haggai, and their toy poodle, Taffy.
